HOW WE WORK

At TMS Protection we believe that we have a responsibility to improve the community, and environment that we work within

OUR METHOD STATEMENT

Whether in the role of Door Supervisor, Marshal or Security Guard, each licensed and trained person in a position of employment with TMS Protection will operate within the full legislation of the law.

TMS Protection Limited has set procedures for our staff while operating in the public domain, and every member of personnel must agree to abide by these rules as is reasonably practicable. During the fast-moving, ever developing and potentially high-risk environment of maintaining Health & Safety standards and public order within our industry, TMS Protection will ensure our staff adhere to our guidelines.

On commencement of a contract for services, a senior management representative of TMS Protection will carry out a full security risk analysis of site/venue.

Policies

RISK ANALYSIS:

While TMS Protection needs to assess issues as stated above, we will be put into place within full compliance to the venue/sites own separate risk assessment so as the two-run transparently. This will ensure the end product being an enhanced, complete assessment of risk to the public, staff and valuables on the premises.

TMS Protection will not knowingly, with all searches that are reasonably practicable, engage the services of any persons that they believe to have conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner, having misrepresented any of their qualifications or professional achievements, or if we feel they are linked in any way to any organised crime or terrorist movement.

Through our open door policy, direct contact to the most senior members of TMS Protection is available to clients for confidential discussions regarding any incidents involving security staff that might occur, ensuring dissatisfaction of TMS’s security product does not occur.

PRINCIPLES, VALUES AND ETHICS

At TMS Protection we believe that we have a responsibility to improve the community, and environment that we work within. As such, all our policies are designed to ensure that employees at all levels have a positive impact on our customers business, and the persons they engage with.

To achieve this, the board recognise the need to support our employees through regular training, supporting promotion and a professional management structure.

STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR

Employees and sub-contractors of TMS Protection must adhere to our “CRIMES” mnemonic, on and off duty. Despite the introduction of The Security Industry Authority (SIA) in 2007 our industry still had a negative reputation, so by following these 6 standards and working together as one team we can help to change this;

Challenging and reporting improper conduct

Not accepting behaviour that falls below our standards

Respect

Always be courteous to others

Integrity

Acting in an honest manner, on & off duty

Minimal use of force

Only force that was proportionate, legal and necessary will be tolerated

Equality & diversity in the workplace

Treating all persons we work with the same

Showing empathy and confidentiality

Understanding problems and no disclosing person information

POLICIES

At TMS Protection we pride ourselves on our management structure, our policies and the support we can offer our new and existing employees. Our policies cover all sectors of our business, which are reviewed annually to ensure that we are compliant with new legislation.

In 2017, as part of our environmental policy, the board made the decision to go paperless to reduce our carbon footprint. To help this, all of our staff have access to an Employee Portal on our website. Through this secure login, employees can view all the company policies, and access Elearning packages to help improve knowledge and understanding.

TMS Protection do not publicly display their policies on this page, through the risk of plagiarism. However, if any of our clients, or the authorities which we work with require a copy of any of our policies, they are encouraged to call or email the office and make an official request. This can be supplied electronically or in a hardback version.

TMS IN THE COMMUNITY

We take our position in the community seriously as such and where possible we provide sponsorship to noteworthy causes and not for profit businesses .

This year we have chosen to sponsor the under 16’s team of Bromley Green Football club in Ashford Kent.

Bromley Green was established in 1930 and is a well known football club in the Ashford area.

The club itself is very active in the local community, making our sponsorship a natural choice.
